· Treasurer
· Legislative & Advocacy Director
· Membership Director
Qualifications
· Occupational Therapist, Occupational Therapy Assistant Members, Honorary Life Members, students, and Retiree Members will have the right to vote on / for any annual and / or special meetings, Board of Directors positions, and other relevant MiOTA Association matters.
· To be eligible to serve on the Board of Directors or a Committee Chairperson, the person must be an active member in good standing (current with Association dues and have a current OT/OTA state license).
· No person shall hold more than two (2) elected Board of Directors or Committee Chairperson positions at the same time.
Time Commitment
· Board of Directors Meetings
1. The Board of Directors must meet a minimum of 4 times per year.
2. Meetings can be held virtually or via designated locations in Michigan.
3. The Board of Directors is expected to attend all Board of Directors, relevant Committee, and annual meetings.
4. The Secretary will provide 30 days’ notice via email and / calendar invitation to the Board of Directors.
5. All Board of Directors Members are expected to attend the 4 required meetings at a minimum. If they cannot attend, they must provide written notice to the president and secretary at least 3 days prior to the meeting, along with their report for the minutes.
6. A minimum of two (2) or more Board of Directors missed meetings may result in consideration of removal from their Board of Directors position.
Additional time spent outside of the Board of Directors and Association Assembly meetings may also be required to faithfully execute the responsibilities of the Board of Directors position a member may be elected to.
