Pediatric SIS

The Pediatric Special Interest Section of the Michigan Occupational Therapy Association provides information and resources to occupational therapy practitioners to support current best practice and emerging practice with pediatric clients and/or students. It exists to provide opportunities for networking and sharing with other pediatric occupational therapy practitioners throughout Michigan.

One (1) professional development unit (PDU) will be awarded to active MiOTA members in attendance. The certificate will be emailed to all attendees.

Guests are always welcome to see what MiOTA is about at the local level; however, after one free visit we request that you become a member in order to continue attending the chapter meetings. We hope that you like what you see and want to join. Membership link will be provided at meeting.


Pediatric SIS Contact: Donna Case PhD, OTL

Donna Case has worked as a pediatric occupational therapy practitioner over 35 years. She spent 30 years working with children with severe disabilities in a local school program.  She has taught pediatric, assistive technology and sensory courses at Wayne State and is currently an Assistant Professor in the entry level Doctor of Occupational Therapy Program at the University of Michigan Flint. Her areas of research focus on using technology to increase the meaningful occupations for individuals with disabilities. Donna has been active in MiOTA for over 30 years and served in several capacities for AOTA most recently in the Transition Community of Practice.
