Join us for MiOTA's Annual Fall Conference!
The MiOTA Annual Fall Conference will occur October 6-8, 2022, in the Sheraton Airport Hotel at 5700 28th Street SE Grand Rapids, Michigan 49546.
The conference theme is Surviving Change and Navigating the Future. In keeping with the theme, we will be hosting a Keynote Address in a panelist format. Kristen Neville, MA, Manager of State Affairs at AOTA will present on changes in the profession from the national perspective relative to the pandemic and moving forward. Ms. Neville will then moderate the remainder of the keynote address by engaging the four panelists who include:
- Angeline Bayci, OTRL, FMiOTA;
- Cathleen Johnson, OTD, OTRL, FMiOTA, FNAP;
- Claudette Stork-Reid, OTL, FAOTA;
- Stephen Tompa, MS, OTRL.
We look forward to an engaging and enlightening session!
To address the licensure continuing education requirements, the conference will offer a DEI session from former presenters, Liz Weamer, DPT and Natasha Taylor, PT, MS. We look forward to hearing from these speakers again in-person. Additional licensure renewal continuing education credits will be available for pain.
The conference will offer sessions and poster presentations on a variety of topics ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics and from rehabilitation to mental health and everything in between.
There are special interest section meetings scheduled in breakout rooms with mini presentations.
We will be offering exercise classes, welcome reception with awards ceremony, silent auction, and alumni events.
We are planning to offer an array of exhibitors for additional learning opportunities. Come broaden your knowledge and connect with your peers!!! Online registration is available!
