2026 Fall Conference Student Ambassador Application
MiOTA Students! Don’t miss your chance to be an ambassador for the 2026 MiOTA Fall Conference!Student ambassadors receive:
FREE 3-day conference admission (hundreds of dollars in value)
The opportunity to network with OT professionals, students, and educators from across the state
Leadership and volunteerism experience for resume building (set yourself apart in the OT workforce!)
The responsibilities of a student ambassador include:
Comfort with introducing a speaker (reading their bio)
Comfort with operating audio-visual equipment to assist speaker
Available on Thursday, October 1 st for an orientation meeting at noon
Available for an EVENING virtual meeting prior to conference to review expectations (date to be determined)
Available for all days for all conference sessions on October 1 st thru 3 rd , 2026
Conference volunteer hours are: Thursday 12-5, Friday 7:30-5, Saturday 7:30-2:30
Other Information
You MUST be a member of MiOTA at the time you submit your application.
You will be responsible for securing your accommodations during the conference. If you would like to stay at the hotel the room block is set through September 1, 2026, or sooner if the block fills.
Conference registration includes welcome reception (beverages and appetizers) as well as breakfast and lunch Friday and Saturday.
If you are interested in applying for this exciting opportunity, please complete the following by August 15th, 2026:
Secure a letter of recommendation from a faculty member or Program Director at your college (must upload at time of application)
Complete the "Student Ambassador Application" by logging into you account at MiOTA.org
**If a student is selected and in active fieldwork their supervisors will be offered a discounted conference registration. **Fieldwork supervisors will need to contact the conference planning committee.
